I burned out.
Corporate burnout became a turning point in my life. It showed up through declining physical health, chronic pain, emotional exhaustion, loss of clarity, and a growing disconnection from myself.
I was caught in a cycle of doing more, being more, and proving more without boundaries or a grounded relationship with myself. I had learned early to carry responsibility, to step in where needed, and to keep going regardless of the cost.
When my health began to break down, it became impossible to ignore that something needed to change. That moment forced me to stop and confront the way I had been living.
That experience shaped me. It built resilience, self awareness, and a level of honesty with myself that I now bring into my work every day.
My first real experience of therapy was Systemic Family Constellation work. It did not make sense to me at the time, but the impact was undeniable.
Through this work, I experienced deep healing, including a reversal of a degenerating and medically unexplained health condition. That moment shifted everything. It changed how I understood healing, the subconscious, and the connection between our internal and external worlds.
I committed to my own therapeutic journey, a process I have continued for over a decade. What started as a need to heal became a commitment to understanding myself and eventually a calling to support others in doing the same.
What started as burnout led to personal healing and eventually became a professional calling.
My first training was in NLP and Coaching through Coach Transformation Academy in the UAE, where I studied under Dr. Haris Syed. That experience expanded my understanding of how language shapes reality, and how the way we speak to ourselves and others can reinforce the very patterns we are trying to change.
From there, I found Illuminations Wellbeing and Training Centre, where most of my clinical training unfolded.
I completed a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, including the Psychology of Depression, Grieving and Loss, through Transformations Institute UK under Dr. Leila Edwards. I graduated with the highest score, which quietly restored my confidence in my ability to understand and apply this work in a meaningful way.
I then trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy, a KHDA attested programme in collaboration with EKAA, under the guidance of Arpita Mita, Dr. Irina Khanna, and Yuvraj M Kapadia. This deepened my understanding of the subconscious and its role in shaping behaviour, emotional responses, and long standing patterns. It is a modality I draw on in most sessions today.
I concluded with Systemic Family Constellations under the mentorship of Dr. Irina Khanna. This work shifted how I see people. It expanded my perspective from the individual to the wider system, and the ways in which inherited patterns, unseen loyalties, and generational experiences continue to influence the present.
Each modality equipped me in a different way. Together, they shaped a way of working that meets people where they are, and supports them in moving towards what they have been avoiding.
Grow through what you have lived, not around it. Real change happens when we stop avoiding, suppressing, or performing our way forward, and instead build awareness, regulation, and integration from the inside out.
The Strength That Becomes a Burden There is a particular kind of strength that is...
